Summersend (Frances M Thiele) Lever Harp Solo

Frances M Thiele’s original work ‘Summersend’, a wistful ode to the end of summer and the coming of winter, is composed for solo lever harp. Inspired by the finger picking folk guitar playing of Bert Jansch, the sweet modal melodic line of ‘Summersend’ is played over a continuous rhythmic bass ostinato. This piece is playable on a 34 string fully levered harp tuned in E flat major and is suitable for intermediate level harp players. Harmonics are notated where they are played.
