Melancolia (Frances M Thiele) Lever Harp Solo

Frances M Thiele’s original work ‘Melencolia’ is an unashamedly reflective and sorrowful piece composed for solo lever harp. This piece allows the player freedom to be as indulgently expressive as they want to be in shaping the melodic lines of this delicate and mournful composition in G harmonic minor. This piece is playable on a 34 string fully levered harp tuned in E flat major and is suitable for intermediate level harp players. Harmonics are notated where they are played.

Tuxedo Junction (Frangipani Harp) Lever Harp Solo

Frances Thiele’s ‘Tuxedo Junction’ is a fun upbeat solo lever harp arrangement of this classic tune made famous in 1940 by Glenn Miller and his orchestra. This piece is playable on a fully-levered 34 string lever harp tuned in E flat major and is included in the AMEB Harp Syllabus (2020) Level 2 for Grade Five.
