Latin Goes Ska (Skatellites) [PJ]

A Ska take on some Latin flavor courtesy of Don Drummond, Duke Reid & the great Skatellites circa 1965

Golliwogg’s Cakewalk (PepperHorn Classics)

This Claude Debussy theme from ‘Children’s Corner’ was originally written for Piano and published in 1908. We’ve adapted it for modern quintets — Strings, Flutes, Clarinets, Saxes and Brass so you can have a bit of fun with this Classical standard. Each arrangement includes optional parts for a Rhythm Section (Bass, Drums, Guitar & Piano) for a larger performance.

Cooking With The Blues (Powder Blues) [PB]

This groovin’ Blues number was part of Powder Blues’ hit making ‘Blues + Jazz = Blazz!’ album.

Till There Was You (Beatles) [MP]

This gentle track was included on both ‘With The Beatles’ and ‘Meet The Beatles!’ in ’63 and ’64 respectively. McCartney recalled that he wasn’t aware the song was part of ‘The Music Man’ at the time of recording — apparently becoming familiar with the song as a kid listening to Peggy Lee albums. This arrangement is true to the Beatles’ style with the addition of Horns and Strings.

I’ve Heard That Song Before (Harry James) [MP]

This Cahn and Styne swinger first appeared with Margaret Whiting’s performance in 1942’s ‘Youth On Parade’. The song was recorded that same year by Harry James and his Orchestra featuring the angelic Helen Forrest on vocals. Their rendition shot to #1 in the charts and has remained one of the greatest hits of the James Band.

(I Got Everything I Need) Almost (Blues Brothers) [MS]

This FREE arrangement of Australia’s National Anthem is perfect for both Vocal and Instrumental use.  It includes Vocal parts for both Soloists and full Choir (SATB).  Grab it for any instrumentations you need — from 2 Horn to Orchestra and Concert Band!

Spanish Moon (Little Feat) [NS]

Lowell George wrote this groovy number for 1974’s studio album ‘Feats Don’t Fail Me Now’.  The song gained it’s most popular success with the smash ’77 live album ‘Waiting For Columbus’ — where the number was supported by the Tower of Power horn section.

Sussudio (Phil Collins) [MS]

Grazing In The Grass (Funky Instrumental) [MP]

Since Hugh Masekela released ‘Grazing In The Grass’ in ’68 it has been a classic — a #1 on the Billboard Top 100 for the South African trumpeter as well as a pop sensation for the ‘Friends of Distinction’.  PepperHorn has put a New Orleans inspired, Brass Band type feel to this groovy 60’s number and we think you’ll agree that it’ll be a great, Funky addition to your band’s arsenal.
